Well, we’ve survived another Winter and Spring is starting to take hold. It has still been a cool start to the season, but in no time I’m sure the flowers will start to bloom. And everyone is just waiting for the warmer temperatures and fun activities that Spring brings with it.

As we move into April, the Spring events will start to appear. And soon we’ll be seeing more and more activities that drive our #BRANTastic community. The Spring is a wonderful time as we not only look forward to the warmth, but also to the influx of local events. The Spring has always been a high time for events in our community, and this year will bring another batch of annual events.
Make sure to Be Seen checking out some of these local favourites that are returning again this year: Bowl For Kids Sake, Paris Maple Syrup Festival, Flashing Blades, Lifetime Achievement Award For Outstanding Volunteerism, Brantford Potters’ Guild Spring Sale, Brantford & Paris Home Shows, and the BSO’s Book Fair. Besides all the great events, April has another special meaning for us at BScene, it’s our half year anniversary! While it might seem a bit silly to celebrate a half anniversary, it’s still meaningful for us! It means we’ve been able to bring our community closer together for another six months!
This April marks our third and a half anniversary. And it’s still incredible to me that it’s been three and a half years already. The time just keeps on going by. But it’s also interesting to look back and see how we’ve progressed. From starting up a small black and white paper to the larger, full-colour version we have now, we’ve certainly grown a lot.
As we Spring forward into the future, I’m sure we’ll continue to progress and grow some more. But in order to get there, we need your help! We’re looking for a couple of people who want to Spring into the team with us! We need a couple of select people to help write a column, take event photos, deliver the papers and someone to keep up with ad sales!
