Sensitive Santa is coming to town and he welcomes children of all ages and abilities! Meeting Sensitive Santa is perfect for children who prefer to meet Santa in a calm environment where the lights are dimmed, the music is turned off and there are no lineups to contend with.

“We are so excited that Sensitive Santa will be returning to Brantford and Paris and offering a quieter, sensory-friendly environment,” said Sheena Yarek, Accessibility Coordinator for the County of Brant. “For some children, a noisy, busy environment can be overwhelming.”

The County of Brant and the City of Brantford are delighted to co-host “Sensitive Santa” for the second time in partnership with Lynden Park Mall in Brantford and the Canadian Deaf Blind Association in Paris.

“The City of Brantford is thrilled to be part of the Sensitive Santa program once again,” says Jenny Sawicki, Municipal Accessibility Plan Coordinator, City of Brantford. “We had such a positive response last year and it’s very important for us to continue to connect children with the Sensitive Santa program. All children deserve to feel the magic of Christmas.”

Last year, 25 children, joined by their siblings and parents, met Sensitive Santa.

“Christmas is such a magical time and our wish is for every child to be able to have a wonderful visit with Santa.” said Yarek. “Spaces fill up quickly so we encourage you to call and book your visit soon.”

Pre-booked visits with Sensitive Santa are offered on Sunday, December 2, 9 and 16 at Lynden Park Mall in Brantford and Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Canadian Deaf Blind Association in Paris.

To book a special visit with Sensitive Santa, please contact Sheena Yarek, Accessibility Coordinator for the County of Brant at 519-442-1818 x 3204 or email accessibility@brant.ca.
