Remembrance Day is a time to honour the courage and sacrifice of the heroes who have served, and continue to serve, Canada during times of conflict. November 11, 2018 will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1. The community is invited to attend one of the several Remembrance Day ceremonies occurring throughout the County of Brant.

In Paris, starting at 10:30 am, the Colour Parade will march from Broadway St. W. to Mechanic St. and end at the Paris Cenotaph on Grand River St. N.  The ceremony will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Paris road closures include:

  • Broadway St. W. from William St. to Mechanic St.
  • Mechanic St. from Broadway St. W. to Grand River St. N.
  • Grand River St. N. from Mechanic St. to Grand River St. S.
  • Grand River St. S. from Grand River St. N. to Dumfries St.

In St. George, starting at 10:30 am, the Colour Parade will march from the St. George Legion, located at 9 Main St. N., to the St. George Cenotaph, located at the corner of Main St. and Beverly St.  The ceremony will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

St. George road closures include:

  • Beverly St. W. from College St. to Main St.
  • Beverly St. E. from Main St. to King William St.
  • Main St. from Church Ave. to High St.
  • Lorimer St. from Beverly St. E to High St.

In Burford, starting at 10:30 am, the Colour Parade will march from the Burford Legion, located at 6 Park Ave., to the Burford Cenotaph located at 14 Park Ave. The ceremony will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Burford road closures include:

  • Park Ave. from Andrew St. to Rutherford St.

The South Brant Legion will join the Burford Remembrance Day service.
