On September 11th, The Paris & District Chamber of Commerce hosted a Prospective Councillors of Brant County Question & Answer event at Paris Presbyterian Church. Over 200 people attended the event, which provided the opportunity for residents to pose their questions to the candidates that are running in the upcoming election for the Councillor positions.
Guests were able to hear from 19 of the 25 prospective Councillors who were in attendance. The candidates engaged in conversation with attendees on issues from traffic and infrastructure to the aging population and protection of farmland and green space. After the Q&A session, candidates and guests were able to chat and mingle to answer more questions one on one.
A Mayoral Debate is set to follow on September 24th starting at 6pm which will also be held at Paris Presbyterian Church.
