On March 28, 2019, approximately sixty people gathered to witness the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new County of Brant OPP Detachment Building.
“The County of Brant and OPP have shared a strong and valued partnership for decades,” said Mayor David Bailey. “The dedicated and professional OPP officers and staff have played a key role in supporting a prosperous Brant community. This new building is a testament of the County’s support and appreciation for the work the OPP do every day in Brant. We are grateful for the role the OPP play in the community and the skills and services offered.”

The building is anticipated to be complete in spring 2020.
“We are very excited to be moving forward with the new OPP detachment. This is truly a great testament to the partnership between the County of Brant and the OPP and I look forward to the new improved building helping us to continue our high level of service to the residents of the County of Brant,” said County of Brant OPP Detachment Commander Inspector Lisa Anderson.
The new County of Brant OPP Detachment building will be approximately 22,000 square feet and will be located at the corner of Rest Acres Road and Bethel Road.
“We are committed to working together; enhancing the quality of life for all in the County of Brant,” said Mayor David Bailey.
