August 28 & 29 2021
Nurturing a narrative of hope, joy and transformation, the Skylight Festival is a celebratory and creative space where diverse communities connect to explore arts, faith, peace, justice and creation. The festival brings together artists, musicians, and speakers on the beautiful grounds of Five Oaks for two days of inspiration, renewal, and conversation. This year, as capacity will be limited, you’re invited to register for either August 27 and/or August 28. The contributors will be more or less the same each day, but attending both days ensures you get to see them all.
You’re welcome to camp at Five Oaks or stay at a local hotel, but there will be no accommodation at the main Five Oaks buildings this year. In between sessions at the festival, you might go for a swim or a hike, chat with a new friend, or enjoy a meal. There is no youth programming this year due to our limited capacity, but youth are very welcome to attend and participate in all the sessions. We will provide childcare for children ages 5-12, and those under 5 are welcome with parent/guardian supervision.
There will be enhanced safety measures at this year’s festival with social distancing and extra hand sanitizing stations. Masks will be mandatory in all spaces.
Please bring a chair and/or blanket, water bottle, bathing suit and towel if you plan to swim, and anything you need to be comfortable outside for the day.
Skylights endeavours to be a safe space for all people.
Disclaimer: In the registration process, there is a mandatory question asking participants to identify a gender. Unfortunately, this is a part of the registration software that we can not omit, and we apologize to anyone for whom this is upsetting or triggering. Please know we will not be incorporating the answers to that question in our records, or be using those answers for any part of the festival. The festival will have unisex washrooms, and we have added a registration question where you can indicate the pronouns you use.
$12 is minimum registration fee per day (both children and adults)
