Event Details

Please join ViBrant ARC: Art Reconnecting Community for a monthly Salon ARC, on Fri. Sept. 29.  An event that explores artful ideas, nurtures culture and encourages conversation with our diverse community of poets, writers, painters, potters, photographers, musicians…you name it…we have it…right here!  No need to look outside our our neighbourhoods or outside of our city or county limits.

Come out to join us for a couple of hours on the last Friday of each month, 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Glenhyrst Art Gallery, Coach House to discover what you didn’t know you wanted to know.

In 1993, Rob started to perform live in Brantford’s punk scene and continued until 1997. Since 2003, he has been constantly performing in a multitude of projects from abstract noises pieces and performance art to solo free jazz alto saxophone and has collaborated with many experimental musicians. 
 
By 2007, he started to focus his skills in creating visual art. He completed his Certificate of Applied Photography through Mohawk College and started experimenting with creative photography. Being frustrated with the limitations of photography, he started to paint, do hands-on cut-and-paste collage as well as adaptive digital techniques to his artwork. 
 
Rob has also been keen to use or exploit the limitations of older technology. He uses that exploitation in his digital collage, photography and in music. 
 
Rob is currently active in the local music scene. He curates a small music label focusing on small limited edition releases and his artwork is often featured on the release. 
Rob will be donating artwork for our ViBrant ARC door prize. Each $1 cash donation will give you a chance to win. All donations go towards funding ViBrant ARC programs such as the Salon ARC series as well as future community-building projects.

Please consider joining ViBrant ARC for our monthly brainstorming sessions held the 3rd Thursday of each month, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Brantford Public Library, 3rd floor meeting room.
