Movie in the Park

The City of Brantford, together with local Neighbourhood Associations, will be offering free Movies in the Park to residents this summer at dusk.  Attendees can enjoy family-friendly movie screenings at some of Brantford’s favourite community parks each Wed. from July 12 to Aug. 30.  In addition, two special Fri. evening movies will be offered on Sept. 8 & 15.  Weather permitting. Attendees will want to bring a lawn chair and blanket and arrive early to participate in pre-show activities.

• Wed. July 19 – Lightyear at Tutela Park, 160 Erie Ave. In partnership with the Eagle Place Community Association.
• Wed. July 26 – Bad Guys at Pleasant Ridge Park, 20 Elderwood Ave. In partnership with the Pleasant Ridge Neighbourhood Association.
• Wed. Aug. 2 – Strange World at Lynden Hills Park, 363 Brantwood Park Road. In partnership with the Branlyn Neighbourhood Assocation and sponsored by The HB Team.
• Wed. Aug. 9 – Ron’s Gone Wrong at Cedarland Park, 160 Ashgrove Ave. In partnership with the Cedarland Neighbourhood Assocation.
• Wed. Aug. 16 – Puss in Boots: The Last Wish at Donegal Park, 70 Donegal Drive. In partnership with the Shellard Neighbourhood Association and sponsored by Councillor Rose Sicoli.
• Wed. Aug. 23 – E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) at Devon Down Park, 70 Abigail Ave. In partnership with the Devon Down Neighbourhood Association and sponsored by Emrick Mechanical.
• Wed. Aug. 30 – Dolittle at Cockshutt Park, 35 Sherwood Drive. In partnership with the West Brant Neighbourhood Association and sponsored by Councillor Rose Sicoli.
• Fri. Sept. 8 – Lyle Lyle Crocodile at Holmedale Park, 331 Grand River Ave. In partnership with the Holmedale Neighbourhood Assocation and sponsored by Hartmann Pack and Perform.
• Fri. Sept. 15 – Minions: Rise of Gru at Recreation Park, 258 Nelson St. In partnership with the East Ward Eco Place Neighbourhood Association.
