The Brantford Lions Club is proud to partner with Participation Support Services and Canadian Mental Health Association for the Ride to Thrive Event. All riders of motorcycles, motorbikes, trikes, Spyders, and adventure bikes are welcome to attend.
This ride is to help raise money and awareness for these two local services that help our community in many ways. Please join us for a great day, terrific people, and a nice lunch afterwards.
The ride will take place on Sat. Aug. 13, with registration beginning at 9:00am. We will meet in the parking lot of the Starbucks location at 320 Colborne St. West in Brantford. Brantford Lions Club will be in attendance to assist with registation along with members from Participation Support Services and CMHA so you can hear more about what they offer to help support the Brantford community.
The ride will make four stops at various motorcycle and recreational shops with a final stop at the Brantford Naval Club (Navy Club) located at 54 Wadsworth St. in Brantford. At the final stop there will be a light lunch, prizes and thank you gifts for those who have registered and participated in the ride.
The ride will begin promptly at 10am with the whole group taking a short ride by the Participation Support Services to show the support to the residents of the program. After this short tour the ride will follow a set route to reach all the stops. Riders can choose to ride with the group or ride in smaller groups or as lone riders making sure to attend each of the stops to get a signature on your Ride to Thrive Rider Passport.
Please join the Brantford Lions Club for a wonderful day in support of local services to the Brantford Community.
If people that are not riding would like to sponsor a rider they can do so. If someone would donate to the cause, please attend and make a connection with a member of the Lions Club, Participation Support Services, or CMHA on the day of the event. We will be in attendance both before the ride and at the final stop at the Navy Club to discuss this information and take donations.
If anyone would like to donate any prizes towards this event, please contact Doug Hunt with Participation Support Services, Lil Petrella with CMHA, or Ron Byrne with Brantford Lions Club. Prize donations will be accepted until Wed. Aug. 10 at 8pm.
