Event Details

I am excited to host/guide two (2) historic walking tours of the village of Burford in conjunction with “Jane’s Walk” Community Living, Brant and Belonging Brant.

The second walk, on Sunday May 5th (2pm to 4pm)will focus on the development of the present village site which dates from 1820’s through the industrial age of the Victorian era to the First World War. We will follow Maple Avenue south from the present village core out to the former railway line and see points of interest relating to Burford’s early Agricultural Exhibition (1859 & 1893), Railway Station (1879)and factory sites.

Meet at the south west corner of King St. & Maple Ave. in the Parkette (for both walks).

People can still park at the community parking lot a block each of there at Park Ave. and King St. or any place along King St. or Maple Ave.
