Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant is pleased to announce the Biennial Juried Exhibition, featuring artist from across the region and province.
Glenhyrst’s Biennial Juried Exhibition invites talented artists from across Ontario to exhibit their original artwork. Many of these artists are exhibiting work at a public art gallery for the first time in their lives. Others have used their experience exhibiting in past juried shows, to pursue fulfilling careers as artists, curators, or arts educators. This year, the gallery received over 400+ submissions from nearly 200 artists. Juror Sonya Blazek selected 50 artworks for display in an exhibition that is both thoughtful and engaging.
The Juror’s Choice ($1000) was awarded to Danielle Vincent for her oil on canvas called Memory Is A Sacred Meat and the Award of Merit ($500) sponsored by Millards Chartered Professional Accountants was given to Jennifer Budd for her wool, silk and cotton piece called Hebridean Sea.
The People’s Choice Award ($250) will be awarded after the show has ended, and the ballots are tabulated.
The Exhibition will be on display at Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, 20 Ava Rd. Brantford, Ontario, until May 19th, 2023.
Admission to the gallery is free. All are welcome.
