Event Details

Channel Surfing: Water from Glenhyrst’s Collection is a children’s exhibition featuring artwork that represents water in different ways.  Using interactive displays, this informative exhibition includes artists from Canada, the United States, and Europe such as Sandra Altwerger, Robert R. Whale, Norval Morrisseau, Lionel LeMoine Fitzgerald (group of 7), and Alexandra Luke (painters 11).  Through their various depictions of ponds, lakes, rivers, and oceans, the artists ask us to reflect upon our personal relationship to water, its links to plant and animal life, and its larger significance to our world.  To facilitate these connections with younger audiences and to improve their viewing experience, the artwork in this exhibition has been intentionally installed at a low height on the wall.

The Exhibition will be on display at Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, 20 Ava Rd., Brantford from May 31 to July 21, 2024.

Admission to the gallery is free.  All are welcome.
