The cost for all courses is $250. a week and all sessions are jam-packed with activities and so the prices reflect the cost of supplies, including planning.
Allyson C. Brown is the director of these camps and has a background in Dramatic Arts, Writing at the professional level, as well as being a playwright. She has studied History (University level), has had her art on display in shows and is a member of A.C.T.R.A. She has many years professional experience providing quality programming for children.
July 10-14: Drama Troupers, afternoon camp 1:00 – 4:00pm
Children will learn– Characterization, Story Theatre, Improvisation, Commercial Acting Introduction, Monologues, Scene Work, a Shakespearean Play, Playbill Production, Scripting, etc.
July 24-28: Art Voyagers, afternoon camp 1:00 – 4:00pm
We will be traveling through the Ancient world (Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Mesopotamia, etc.) on our first Brantford tour and learning about other cultures through arts and crafts. Location – Grace Gallery.
Aug. 14-18: Biblical Beginners Camp, afternoon camp 1:00 – 4:00pm
This is a non-denominational Camp – The teacher, who has a background in Religious Studies at the university level and is currently working on three books on the Bible that are in different stages of completion, will be leading the camp. The cost for one day is $50. Since this is a new camp we are allowing a first day try out, before signing up for the whole week. We will be starting at the beginning and focusing on learning stories that teach good values and empathy as well as many theme-based crafts, and some drama and puppetry, etc.
