The Brantford Film Group belongs to the TIFF Film Circuit and are able to show films that are often not on offer locally; many are festival prize-winners, but are not the big commercial block busters.  Some are Canadian films and some are foreign films.  Our profits go to local  charities.

Down on their luck, threatened wiht eviction from their 1930’s Paris flat, what can two young enterprising young room-makes do?  A pretty actress light on talent, Madeleine Verdier (Nadia Tereszkiewicz) and a bright new lawyer lacking clients, Pauline Mauleon (Rebecca Marder) come  up with a crazy idea that may pay off.  Director Francois Ozon’s witty, fast-paced film with its rich stylized Parisian sets pays tribute to Hollywood’s golden age of comedy, to movie favourites like those directed by Ernst Lubitsch and Frank Capra.  Don’t miss the fun!  Come and see this film and join the “highjinx” to find out if the girls’ plan is foolproof or foolhardy.
