The County of Brant is encouraging residents to nominate local athletes for the 5th Annual 2019 “Sports Hall of Fame.”
To date, 30 awards have been presented to local athletes and teams during ceremonies throughout the County of Brant. Ceremonies are held in Brant Oakland/Onondaga, Brant West (Burford area), Paris & Area and South Dumfries & Area.

The deadline to make a nomination is Friday, November 30, 2018. The application can be found online at www.brant.ca/sportshall.
The goals of the Sports Hall of Fame are as follows:
1. To recognize individuals and team achievements in the area of sport, fitness and wellness.
2. To recognize the efforts of builders of sport in the community and for the broader sport sector.
3. To foster civic pride by recognizing accomplishments of local athletes, teams and builders.
4. To create public awareness of health and well-being by highlighting individual residents who participate and compete in sport.
Athletes must either be a County of Brant resident or with roots in the County’s sporting community or an individual or team representing the County.
The County of Brant Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee will serve as the review committee and may nominate inductees for each respective area. The Committee will forward recommendations to the Community Services Committee for approval.
