On Friday October 18, 2019, County of Brant Mayor David Bailey and Ward 5 Councillor Brian Coleman joined executives from Confederation Freezers as they broke ground on a new 100,000 square foot expansion. Confederation Freezers is located near the airport at 21 York Road.

This expansion boasts an impressive $20 million dollar investment which, in part, will add space for 20,000 additional pallets and include an automated pallet shuttling system that will work to increase efficiency.

The Greenspan family was presented a certificate of recognition for their expansion during the ground breaking ceremony. “We are so thankful that Confederation Freezers chose the County of Brant to establish and grow their business,” said Mayor David Bailey, County of Brant.

This expansion, which is already underway, is set to create an additional 25 jobs that will contribute to the Brant economy.

In his speech, Alan Greenspan, a member of the Greenspan family and President of Confederation Freezers, noted that “we are quite proud to call the County of Brant our home.”
