Brantford Food Bank – The Christmas Baskets Program is pleased to announce that it has finally found a home for the 2018 Christmas Baskets Program. The program has been able to secure space at the Lynden Park Mall, in the old Sears location. Registration for the program will begin on Monday, November 26 and ends Friday, December 14th.

“We are so very pleased that we have been able to work with the Lynden Park Mall to be able to use this location,” says Heather Vanner, Executive Director. “This is a location that our clientele is familiar with, and it will help make it easier for clients to access the program. They know where we are and how to get here. It certainly makes it easier for individuals and families in need.”

“We are pleased to have been able to help this important Holiday program,” says Camille Lawrence, General Manager of Lynden Park Mall. “We heard that the program was struggling to find a location, and we were glad to be able to arrange for their use of the space.” More than 1,500 families across Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations received Christmas Baskets and toys for children last year and the organization is anticipating similar numbers again this Holiday Season.

Families and individuals who are in need for the program can register beginning Nov. 26th. Registration is open from 9 a.m. – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. The entrance for the program is at the back Customer Service entrance door at the Sears end of the mall. No entrance to the program can be made from inside the mall, or through the side entrances of the old Sears.

The Christmas Baskets program provides food for a holiday dinner and toys for children in need. To register, individuals must show valid identification for each member of the household, as well as proof of income and proof of address.
