The County of Brant Heritage Committee is pleased to announce that the new poster commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1 is now available to the public. The poster was a joint project between the County of Brant Heritage Committee and the County of Brant Legions.
The poster was presented to the County of Brant Council, along with the County Legions and the Canadian Military Heritage Museum at the August 28, 2018 Council meeting and was released to the public on August 29, 2018.
This is the eighth poster in the series. The theme of the first poster was Bridges, followed by Train Stations, Mills, Barns, Town Halls, Gas Stations and Post Offices. The World War 1 posters are available at all of the County Customer Service Offices, the County of Brant Legions, the Canadian Military Heritage Museum, all branches of the County of Brant Libraries, the Museum and Historical Society at the Syl Apps arena, the St. George Museum, the Burford Township Historical Society in Harley and the City of Brantford Tourism Center.
The County reserves the right to limit quantities as there are 7,500 posters available. There are also a limited numbers of posters still available from the previous series including the Barns, Town Halls, Gas Stations and Posts Offices.
