"engagement marketing, sometimes called "participation marketing," is a marketing strategy that invites and encourages consumers to participate in the evolution of a brand. rather than looking at consumers as passive receivers of messages, engagement marketers believe that consumers should be actively involved in the production and co-creation of marketing programs.

ultimately, engagement marketing attempts to connect more strongly consumers with brands by "engaging" them in a dialogue and two-way, cooperative interaction."

b*scene's founder, betsy cooper is an experienced pr professional (check out www.b-co.ca). she created b*scene because she saw too many less-than-great programs that just hired "girls" (guys too!) who looked good, but weren't trained to actually interact with consumers. every b*scene team member is properly media trained, so that no opportunity will ever be wasted.

after all, these are the people who have the ability to make or break your company's first introduction to a consumer. they are hired to engage people, and get your message out there! and we all know what that means, right? yep, better roi!
